Thinking of making a pair of illustrations of two of my OCs, Lily and Ashley. I pretty much never make full drawings these days, just random portraits/pin-ups/sketches. I need to do more illustrative pieces with backgrounds and junk.
Anywho, just planning out the designs I might use.
The second one needs more dynamic perspective. I'm thinking worms-eye view.
Anyway idk these are so rough, I gotta work on-em.

Oh hay naked people!
Ack, haven't updated in a while. I'm back to practicin' though. May as well drop a few life drawings here. >_>
Went with a buddy to the life drawing session this time. Good times mang.
I need to post something more interesting soon. Srsly.

I'm Still in Love with Judas, Baby
Been sketching this on-and-off for a few days, but I'm happy with it. I think it'll be my best drawing yet if I can pull off the coloring/details like I envision it in my head.
It's inspired by Lady GaGa and Alphonse Mucha. Thematically after GaGa's new song Judas and stylistically after Mucha's illustration panels. I'm going to borrow his inking and coloring style a bit when I work on this. I plan to use ink and watercolor. Even though I'm a noob at watercolors. u_u
But Imma do my best.

Old Sketches of Cute Girls
A while back I was rolling an idea for a short story around in my head. Now that NaNoMangO: June is approaching, I may pick the idea back up. Anyway, the idea is for a one-shot, and it stars two cute pre-teen girls in a rural area. And at least one person dies. Probably.
Anyhow, these are concepts I'd drawn a few months ago for my protagonist and her friend.
A bit more stylized/simplified than I've been doing lately, but I'd like to flesh out the style and my idea. The working title for the project in my head is Vinca.

Tenvoid sketch
Workin' on this portrait of Tenvoid for Tilty, who won our joint charity auction. I like how the lines are looking so far, I'll start coloring tonight or tomorrow.

Poopie
Haven't updated in a bit. Have some quick boredom sketches done without reference. Well actually, the reference is my brain. I think I was re-calling the model I drew yesterday while doing these.
I'll upload the actual life drawings I did last session tomorrow. Don't feel like taking pics with my cruddy cell phone camera right now. Which is why I'm only uploading a sheet of xerox worth of doodles. u_u

Adventure Time WIP + OC sketchies
Doing a colored pencil + ink drawing of Marceline the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time. In my own style, of course.
My scanner keeps wonking up my colors, I dunno why. :c
And I'm workin' on a certain original character. Workin' on consistency without relying on same-face. Have a headshot/profile view.
I call him Eirnin McKenna, or Eri for short. And yes, I have a "thing" for partially shaved heads. >_>
So effin' hawt.

I LOVE JUICE
It's the ultimate irony.
It's going be a colored pencil realism portrait of my character, Kim. I plan to play with textures when I color this piece, as I've been told it's my weakness (my surfaces all read the same.)
The "Juice" text on the side is a place-holder, I might change it. >_> It's just meant to be random graffiti on a wall. It is also a reference to Hipster Hitler. Which is a legitimately funny webcomic, that it is.

How did i designed character?
I plan to try for an OCT (original character tournament) on deviantART soon. I started roughing my character, and I like how she's coming along. She lacks details, but it's a start.
I haven't finalized a color palette yet, but I will. I'm thinking dark skin, pale gold or silver hair, and dark red clothes. y/n?

A weird sketch
I think this is cute enough to finish it some other day. I'll likely use nib and brush and perhaps some flat cg colors. Perhaps. Not sure if the anatomy is a bit wonky though, I didn't plan it very well.

Sketches BBY Yeah!
Here's a sketch for a Daily Sketch Group on Gaia. The theme was rain.
I really like how it came out, despite the bleh anatomy and roughness. I may make it into a proper illustration sometime.
And here's a life drawing from Tuesday.
The head came out a bit too small... or something.<_> I had fun with it though.
Need moar practice!

My First Life Drawing Session... oh noes
Spring Studio in NYC, yay. So. Decided to preserve the fruits of my first session. It was super fun and - ah, I'll ramble about it after the drawings. Here we go. Vine charcoal on newsprint.
Now then. I was easily the youngest (and suckiest) person in the room. Most of the artists there have probably been drawing longer than I've been alive. >_> Anywho, they were really good. This one woman in front of me was fantastic, like, she was drawing things that I didn't even know were there. She was using some kind of sepia colored pastel or crayon or something. And the woman next to her was working in black, perhaps it was... I don't know what she was working in. It was smooth and polished like ink, but was probably pencil or pastel, maybe charcoal? Was great though. I was so distracted by their pretty art, I almost forgot to pay attention to the model! XD The model was great btw. Had interesting poses and cool tats (which I didn't even try to draw.)
But yah, good times. I think I'll go again tomorrow.
Oh, and finding the right trains and subways through Grand Central Terminal is a pain in the arse. But I'll get used to it. New York City transportation: the easiest way to feel like a cockroach!

Some Arts
Sad, empty blog. I will feed it my art. I don't like having deviantArt as a main art page, and my portfolio doesn't allow for feedback or connecting. So, a blog it is.
For my first upload, uh... I guess I'll just leave this here.
Now to figure out how to use blogspot.
