I LOVE JUICE

It's the ultimate irony.

It's going be a colored pencil realism portrait of my character, Kim. I plan to play with textures when I color this piece, as I've been told it's my weakness (my surfaces all read the same.)

The "Juice" text on the side is a place-holder, I might change it. >_> It's just meant to be random graffiti on a wall. It is also a reference to Hipster Hitler. Which is a legitimately funny webcomic, that it is.

Sketches Desu

Doing an OC meme with a buddy on dA, just felt like uploading some of the sketches while I work on it.

Kay, I'm gonna get back to working on other drawings. And I really need to start thumbnailing my OCT audition.... >_>

How did i designed character?

I plan to try for an OCT (original character tournament) on deviantART soon. I started roughing my character, and I like how she's coming along. She lacks details, but it's a start.

I haven't finalized a color palette yet, but I will. I'm thinking dark skin, pale gold or silver hair, and dark red clothes. y/n?

A weird sketch

I think this is cute enough to finish it some other day. I'll likely use nib and brush and perhaps some flat cg colors. Perhaps. Not sure if the anatomy is a bit wonky though, I didn't plan it very well.

Sketches BBY Yeah!

Here's a sketch for a Daily Sketch Group on Gaia. The theme was rain.
I really like how it came out, despite the bleh anatomy and roughness. I may make it into a proper illustration sometime.

And here's a life drawing from Tuesday.
The head came out a bit too small... or something.<_> I had fun with it though.
Need moar practice!

My First Life Drawing Session... oh noes

Spring Studio in NYC, yay. So. Decided to preserve the fruits of my first session. It was super fun and - ah, I'll ramble about it after the drawings. Here we go. Vine charcoal on newsprint.

Bad, but not bad for a noob?

How did I measured proportions

I fixated on Dat Foot

Expressive, or just incorrect? :c
My favorite - long pose

Now then. I was easily the youngest (and suckiest) person in the room. Most of the artists there have probably been drawing longer than I've been alive. >_> Anywho, they were really good. This one woman in front of me was fantastic, like, she was drawing things that I didn't even know were there. She was using some kind of sepia colored pastel or crayon or something. And the woman next to her was working in black, perhaps it was... I don't know what she was working in. It was smooth and polished like ink, but was probably pencil or pastel, maybe charcoal? Was great though. I was so distracted by their pretty art, I almost forgot to pay attention to the model! XD The model was great btw. Had interesting poses and cool tats (which I didn't even try to draw.)

But yah, good times. I think I'll go again tomorrow.

Oh, and finding the right trains and subways through Grand Central Terminal is a pain in the arse. But I'll get used to it. New York City transportation: the easiest way to feel like a cockroach!
